Many sellers face restrictions when listing products on Amazon and Walmart due to gated category requirements. To support our customers in growing their businesses, Affirma Distributors offers Amazon/Walmart Ungating Services through a trusted third-party provider at no additional cost.
1. Eligibility & Process
1.1 Trade Account Registration
- Customers must apply for an Affirma Distributors trade/wholesale account.
- Only approved trade account holders are eligible for this service.
1.2 Minimum Order Requirement
- A minimum purchase of $3,000 is required to qualify for ungating assistance.
- The order must be linked to one trade account and one Amazon/Walmart seller account.
- Order splitting across multiple accounts is not permitted.
- A maximum of two brands can be included in a single purchase order (PO) worth $3,000 for ungating services.
1.3 Ungating Request
- If a customer is unable to list the purchased products due to category restrictions or requires ungating, they must contact Affirma Distributors Support within 24-48 hours of placing the order.
- Important: The ungating appeal for the brand/product purchased from Affirma must not have been previously submitted by the customer on their Amazon account. The first ungating appeal must be made by Affirma's team. If the customer has already submitted an appeal themselves, Affirma will attempt the process, but the chances of successful ungating will be significantly lower. In such cases, the customer will be required to take the inventory, whether gated or ungated.
- Affirma's internal team will submit the invoice and liaise with Amazon/Walmart to facilitate acceptance and category approval.

1.4 Processing Timeline
- Ungating requests will be initiated within 24-48 hours of receiving the request.
- Amazon/Walmart approval typically takes 2-3 business days but may take longer depending on platform policies and account health.
1.5 Full Refund Guarantee
- If the ungating request is unsuccessful, Affirma will take back the inventory and issue a full refund.
- Customers must submit their request within 48 hours of placing the order to be eligible for assistance.
- Requests received after this period will not be covered, and inventory will be shipped as ordered, whether gated or ungated.
2. Important Notes & Disclaimers
- This service is provided free of charge—no additional fees apply for Amazon/Walmart ungating.
- Customers must ensure their Amazon/Walmart accounts comply with all platform policies and regulations.
- Affirma Distributors is not responsible for any penalties, suspensions, or other actions taken by Amazon/Walmart due to seller account violations, non-compliance, or illegal activities.
- This ungating service is only for initial product listing approval. If any issues arise later, Affirma Distributors will not be responsible for resolving them.
